        <p>In this article, various approaches to the definition of the concept of the metaverse are investigated, and a proper, most universal one is proposed. The threats are analyzed and the requirements for the information security of the metaverse are highlighted. Its main components and features of their use are investigated. The applicability of various access control models to ensure effective security management of the metaverse has been evaluated.</p>
