Review rules

The journal "Problems of Information Security. Computer Systems" carries out a review of all materials submitted to the editorial office, relevant to the subject, for the purpose of their expert assessment.

The manuscripts are sent for one-sided "blind" review, that is, the name of the reviewer is not disclosed to the author, unless the reviewer himself wants to inform him after the final decision on the publication of the materials.

Requirements for reviewers

  • The reviewer must have an academic degree (Candidate/Doctor Sciences).
  • Reviewing is based on mutual respect between the author and the reviewer, which implies their equality as participants in the scientific process.
  • It is necessary to objectively assess the scientific value of the article and the compliance of the article with the general requirements for scientific work. The purpose of the comments outlined in the review is to improve the quality of the article.
  • If there are no common scientific or other interests with the authors of the reviewed article, it is necessary to declare all possible conflicts of interest.
  • Do not use the information obtained during the review for your own (or third-party) benefit. To keep the review confidential and not disclose the details of the manuscript
  • The review should be written in the language of the reviewed article.

Review procedure

  1. After evaluating the article for compliance with the requirements of the journal, the editor appoints a reviewer.
  2. The reviewer receives the manuscript and verifies the scientific component and the relevance of the material (no more than 2 weeks). Based on the results of the review of the article, the reviewer chooses one of the possible conclusions:
  • to accept for publication;
  • accept after revision of the article;
  • reject it.

3. In the comments, you can specify recommendations for improving the article, describe its strengths and weaknesses.

4. When submitting an article for revision, the author must either correct the reviewer's comments or justify the inability to do so.

5. After revision, the article is sent to the same reviewer.
